break-up remedy

1. call your best friend immediately. she will listen to you cry and leave dr pepper and big hunks in your mail box. she will make a date with you saturday night. she will call in the middle of the day just to make sure you're okay.

2. sleep for twelve hours. there is nothing better than falling asleep at 9:45 on a friday night and waking up at 10:00 on saturday morning.

3. retail therapy. it does wonders. two pairs of shoes and a hoodie later you'll feel great. even better, when your not spending your own money. thank your company for the generous christmas bonus.

4. spend the entire afternoon with your sister. she will keep you company. also, pending on her sense of humor she can keep you laughing all the time. if you need, you can borrow mine. she's hysterical.

5. take a hot bubble bath. 'nough said.

6. watch hours and hours of how i met your mother.  romantic sappy love stories will only make you cry. how i met your mother will not.

7. keep busy. the second you stop keeping busy the moment your mind starts to race. clean your room, go to work, take a final.

8. create a break up playlist. again, sappy love songs will only make you cry.

9. pray lots and lots. the comfort from Heavenly Father will get you through the hardest moments.

10. and remember, everything happens for a reason. i can't see that reason right now and i still hurt a lot. it's hard not to cry. but i have been reminded many times in the last few days that there are still amazing people in my life. i have the best family and the greatest friends who have continually checked up on me. i am a strong girl and this trial will only make me stronger.

  1. :( honey i'm so sorry. it just breaks my heart!

  2. You'll make it through! That's the worst. Keep up with the positivity!

  3. so funny story. i was telling someone about this girl in my ward (you) and she was like "wait i think i read her blog" haha so she showed me and sure enough...small world!!

but i'm so very sorry about what you are going through. i have been there and it is NOT fun. not one bit. all i can say is that in time you will realize why things are happening the way they are and you will realize all the things you have learned and are supposed to learn. the two greatest things we have is first, the knowledge that our heavenly father loves us so much. if there is one thing i learned going through the missionary thing it was that my heavenly father knows me in and out. if we let him he will be our best friend and never leave us alone. i find such comfort in this. second, he knows what is best for us, and not only that but he wants what is best for us. you probably don't see it now, but one day you will look back and know exactly what heavenly father had in store for you at this time. you are just the cutest girl and i hope things start looking up for you (:

i just wrote a novel, but i'm sure it's fine.

  4. I hope you get feeling better. What helps me? Cliche...chocolate. Oh, and some good Jane Austen movies. But that's just me :) You are a wonderful and gorgeous girl! Have a great night!

  5. I don't even know you, but I cried when I read this post.

    I wish you the best.

You're beautiful and the best will come for you.

If you ever need to vent email me. I'd love it.
